Contemporary Garden Room in Prestbury

The cedar contemporary rooms are striking buildings that can create a real feature in any garden. But this particular customer didn’t have just ‘any’ garden. They had a huge area surrounded by the open countryside in Prestbury. A stunning location calling out for a stunning room.

Working in consultation with our customers, as we do on all projects, we arrived at a design for a 6m x 4m, maximising the available space whilst not dominating it.

As the room was to be used for entertaining we wanted to take advantage of the natural light. 3m wide aluminium bi-fold doors were used, flanked at either side by full length portrait windows.  A further full length and high line transom window were added to the design to both allow for more light and also enable our customers to take in the beautiful surroundings.

Much like a new house build or extension, plans were made for the electrics and lighting layout with additional spot lights added over what would be seating areas and high sockets around the bar.

Our usual high-quality materials were used as standard throughout, including brushed chrome internal fittings and anthracite external down lights, which perfectly complimented the aluminium doors and windows.

Our customers were delighted and quickly set about decorating and adding furnishings from Macclesfield based Arighi Bianchi.

The finished building is really beautiful, and we’re not just saying that as it’s already been featured in a tv commercial!
