The Project: A contemporary summerhouse with additional storage space and a solid oak gazebo

Our customers had a large neglected area of their garden that they wanted to develop and on a practical level they required storage, so they initially visited us looking for a garden shed. Upon seeing the vast selection of garden buildings that we offer they approached us for suggestions on how they could best utilise their currently underused outdoor space.

Our Approach: A bespoke Gawsworth Summerhouse with a solid oak gazebo

Our customers lived in a beautiful period property in High Peak, Derbyshire, and was looking to enhance their outdoor space by creating an enclosed area that consisted of a summerhouse, storage, and a timber outdoor structure.

After an initial consultation, and many site visits, we decided upon creating a bespoke Gawsworth Summerhouse as it is both attractive and compact. In order to meet the clients exact brief, we added Georgian windows and doors, to both the summerhouse and garden studio and pre-painted both buildings prior to installation in special paint colours that matched the existing windows in the main house. This created a coordinated and cohesive feeling across the whole of the property, both indoors and out.

To enhance our customer’s garden further, we installed a solid oak gazebo with a cedar shingle roof to fit in with the period surroundings.

The transformation was phenomenal. We were able to meet all aspects of the brief adding both practical and attractive features, enhancing the outdoor space and making the overall property seem much bigger.
