Hangout Room in Macclesfield

Having maxed out all available space in their home, and not wanting to move, we were approached by our customers in Macclesfield wanting to create a room for their teenage children to hang out.

Our cedar contemporary garden rooms are beautiful structures finished to such high standards that they can be used for all manner of purposes. In this instance we were looking to build something that could be both teenage den and games room as well as a party room for the adults of the house.

Working with our customers brief which was for a large, spacious building that incorporated separate bathroom facilities and was big enough to accommodate a corner sofa, tv and games console, and the ultimate toy – a full size pool table, we set about designing the perfect room for all the family.

The end result was a 7m x 4m contemporary garden room clad in our beautiful, rich cedar wood.

3m sliding windows flanked by 2 full length portrait windows allow for the room to be flooded with natural light, adding to the bright and spacious feeling in the room. Additional high level transom windows were included within the main room and in the WC.

We installed a standard sized toilet and sink in the WC, a practical touch for a large, modern family.

On a par with a new house build, we consulted with our customers on the layout of the lights and sockets, ensuring the end result is exactly to their requirements.

Our usual high-quality materials were used as standard throughout, including brushed chrome internal fittings and anthracite external down lights, which perfectly compliment the aluminium doors and windows.

The additional space has been invaluable to the family.
