And that was our clients’ reason for wanting a Contemporary Garden Room. The whole family were wasting money on expensive monthly membership of the local gym that they just weren’t using. If they had their own purpose built gym they wouldn’t have any excuses!

Our customers came to Olympian Garden Buildings armed with details of the gym equipment they intended to have and we took it from there, planning around those dimensions to ensure we designed a home gym fit for purpose.

The area designated by our customers was an unused and overgrown area of their huge garden and when we went on the initial site meeting for this project, it was hard to visualise how the end product would look.

We devised a design for an 7m x 4m room with large 3m wide sliding doors and an extra height ceiling to ensure a bright and spacious room that you’d enjoy spending time in.

Construction would be straightforward as unlike competitor buildings, our superior flooring framework wouldn’t require re-enforcing to withstand heavy-duty gym equipment.

Working with our long-standing electrical contractor, we allowed for an air conditioning system for perfect climate control and dimable spot lighting for ambiance, alongside plentiful electric sockets. We also installed internet and multimedia connections to enable full wifi capability and links to the home multimedia system.

Plans were in place to landscape the entire garden and first up was the mammoth task of clearing the trees and bushes to establish the area for the garden gym.

Our experienced team constructed and installed the building over a 3-week period which included the electrical installation, plastering of walls and fitting flooring and skirting, and were ready to hand over to the landscape gardeners to finish the project.

We were delighted when we received photos of the garden once complete, it really is a spectacular transformation. The high grade cedar cladding makes a really striking feature at the end of the garden and will stand the test of time.

And the best part is the whole family now use their own private gym on a daily basis.
