Multi-use Garden Office in Manchester

Our contemporary style, cedar-clad garden rooms are a masterpiece in design and functionality.

For our next project, in Wilmslow, Manchester, our client required a fully functioning home office as he worked from home for a substantial part of the week. He also wanted the room to be multi-use, as an attractive garden room and entertaining space.

The building itself measured 6m x 4m with sliding doors flanked by a full-length portrait window at either side plus an additional high-level transom window, allowing for natural light to flood into the room.

Through our expertise and ingenuity, we were able to advise on aspects of the design that fully optimised the room for dual-use.

Handcrafted cabinetry was designed to create a bar area that doubled up seamlessly as office storage as well as other multi-use storage within the room.

The luxury desk sourced could double up as a dining table or a pool table enabling a multitude of uses for both work and play.

For the technical aspects of the building, we worked with an audiovisual engineer to ensure the media connections were optimised within the garden building, with high-speed wifi and plenty of USB ports and sockets available.

To allow for comfortable year-round use, we installed a Toshiba air-conditioning unit to ensure our customer could control his ideal working climate.

Our usual high-quality materials were used as standard throughout, including brushed chrome internal fittings and anthracite external downlights, which perfectly compliment the aluminium doors and windows.

The finished building is the perfect blend for our customer. Smart, bright and contemporary for work and full of all the mod-cons to enable a swift transition for entertaining.
