Contemporary Garden Room in Alderley Edge

For this project, an Alderley Edge based personal trainer came to us with a vision of creating her own personal gym and training studio space within the grounds of her garden.

Having recently extended the property adding bi-fold doors looking out onto the garden, they were mindful of providing privacy for clients using the studio. With this in mind, using the footprint of the house, we devised a bespoke design that maximised the available space within the garden whilst not directly facing the property.

We can always find a solution! In this instance the contemporary garden room created was 6m x 4m at the widest part forming an ‘L’ shape with a 2m wide return.

2.5m sliding aluminium doors open on to a lawned area of the garden and alongside 2 full length portrait windows create a light, bright and welcoming atmosphere.

To accommodate the professional grade gym equipment, the building was manufactured with a taller than average ceiling height.  This is one of many bespoke elements we can offer our customers. The studio has plentiful space to house our customers equipment, which includes a running machine, cross trainer, multi-gym and free weights and now a new Peloton bike.

Other buildings of this nature would usually need the floor to be reinforced due to the weight of the equipment however due to the superior strength of our timber no reinforcement was required

As well as housing the gym equipment there is ample space for floor work such yoga and pilates for several clients at a time.

An air conditioning unit was installed to enable our customer to control an optimum room temperature for her fitness clients.

Our usual high-quality materials were used as standard throughout including brushed chrome internal fittings and anthracite external down lights, which perfectly complimented the aluminium doors and windows.

Our customer is delighted with the finished result and was raring to get her clients in.
